like all meaningful travel, the destination is at best an anecdote, while the journey remains the experience.
Past the dense pressurized medium of Flake Out (2008) the propagating soundscape of Tangtype finds new texture in continuous motion and retrieves substance from fickle displacement. Trajet (2015) fuses together years of sound travel experiences from trips, exchanges and places in an odyssey that lasts less than an hour but leaves you with a memory of attendancy.
Jean-François Brohée and Julie Cambier of Tangtype made this happen by letting sound data travel, morph, evolve and slowly resolve on their fertile Vienna – Brussels up- downlink. The result will scatter and propagate all around you.
